2 Days - Tour of Argolis(Corinth / Mycenae/ Nafplion/ Epidaurus) - Excursions in Greece

1st Day

  This day tour will take you to the first capital of Greece, Nafplion. On own way to Nafplion we will make a brief stop on the Corinth canal which we will be able to enjoy a wonderful view of the canal. Secondly we will visit one of the most important and beautiful archaeological sites in Greece the ancient theatre of Epidaurus renown for its acoustics where significant cultural events are held every summer.

  The theatre was built by architect and sculptor Argous Poliklito. It was built in two separate stages, the first at the end of the 4th century b.c. and the second in the middle of the 2nd century.  This will lead us to Nafplion, its charm and beauty is completed by two imposing fortresses looming above the rooftops of the buildings of the old town. Here you can visit many sites such as the Medieval Palamidi castle, the Akronafplia, and the Bourtzi Fortress.

2nd Day

   Next morning we will go to visit the ancient city Mycenae with the Lion’s Gate and the sanctuary of Hera and the Tomb of Agamemnon. You will also visit the Cyclopean walls of the Ancient Acropolis Mycenae.

After lunch you will return to Athens along the same route.



2 Days - Tour of Delphi and Arachova Village - Excursions in Greece

1st Day

Drive through the fertile plain of BOEOTIA, crossing the towns of THEBES, LEVADIA and ARACHOVA to reach DELPHI and the SANCTUARY of APOLLO, situated in breathtaking scenery on the slopes of MOUNT PARNASSUS.

Visit the SANCTUARY and the MUSEUM, which contains masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture including the famous bronze Charioteer. Lunch will be followed by a free afternoon and an overnight stay in Delphi.


2nd Day

The whole morning is free for you to see more of the rugged grandeur of DELPHI and take photographs to remind yourselves of its beauty.
After lunch you will return to Athens along the same route.

 

 

 



2 Days - Tour of Delphi and Meteora tour - Excursions in Greece

Visit the Meteora Monasteries containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing suspended between earth and sky, on top of huge granite rocks.

We will start our tour via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, which will lead us to Delphi and visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios with its famous museum. You will have an afternoon to enjoy all of these sites. The road will lead us to Kalambaka; in the evening will enjoy a dinner underneath the monasteries of Meteora. We will be spending the night in the area of Kalambaka which will permit the next morning to Visit Meteora.

Particularly impressive scenery, ageless Monasteries containing priceless historical and religious treasures, stand suspended between earth and sky, on top of huge granite rocks.

Meteora is for UNESCO a unique global phenomenon of cultural heritage. In the afternoon we will begin our return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae (where we will visit the monument of Leonidas). We will arrive in Athens early in the evening.



3 Days - Tour of Argolis / Olympia / Delphi - Excursions in Greece

1st day: Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus (visit the archaeological site and the Theatre famous for its remarkable acoustics) and then on to Nafplion (short stop). Drive to Mycenae where you visit the archaeological site, then depart for Olympia through central Peloponnese area passing the cities of Megalopolis and Tripolis arrive in Olympia. (Dinner and overnight in Olympia).


2nd day: In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Olympia. Drive via Patras to Rion where you cross by car ferry to Antirion and driving through Nafpaktos arrive in Delphi. (Dinner and overnight in Delphi).

 

3rd day: In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi. Then start the drive back to Athens.

 



3 Days - Tour of Delphi - Meteora - Excursions in Greece

1st Day

   Drive to world famous DELPHI via Thives, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassos, where you will have a short stop.

Visit the sanctuary of APOLLO PYTHIOS (Treasury of the Athenians, Temple of Apollo) and the museum.
Your afternoon will be free, while in the evening you may enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Delphi.

 

 

2nd Day

   Morning is free. You will leave Delphi for an interesting trip through Central Greece and the town of Lamia to Kalambaka, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

 

3rd Day

You will visit Meteora, particularly impressive scenery, the famous and ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, which are standing between earth and sky, on top of huge rocks.


Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (where you will visit Leonidas Monument) and Kamena Vourla.


You will reach Athens in the early evening.



4 Days - Tour of Argolis / Olympia / Delphi / Meteora - Excursions in Greece

1st DAY:

   CORINTH Canal (short stop). Drive to EPIDAURUS (visit the archaeological site and the Theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics) and then on to NAUPLIA (short stop). Drive to MYCENAE where you visit the archaeological site, then depart. for OLYMPIA, through the central Peloponnese area passing the cities of MEGALOPOLIS and TRIPOLIS, arrive in OLYMPIA. Dinner & Overnight in OLYMPIA (D.)

2nd DAY:

   In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of OLYMPIA. Drive via PATRAS to RION, cross the channel to ANTIRION on the "state of the art" new suspended bridge considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. Arrive in NAFPAKTOS, then continue to DELPHI.

Dinner & Overnight in DELPHI.

 


3rd DAY:

   In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of DELPHI. Depart for KALAMBAKA. Drive through AMPHISSA, LAMIA and TRIKALA. Arrive in KALAMBAKA,

Dinner and overnight

 

4th DAY:

    In the morning, visit the breathtaking METEORA and in the early afternoon start the drive back to ATHENS passing via THERMOPYLAE (visit) and KAMMENA VOURLA.  The most outstanding classical sites are visited on this tour, reminding the visitor of the glory that was Greece.

Argolida is also home to the charming town of Nafplion, which was actually the first capital of Greece.
